Heart Brush

The ReFa Heart Brush stands out for its compact design and easy maintenance. It features a handle-free, heart-shaped design and comes with a protective cover, making it easy to slip into your bag. If you’re looking for a portable hairbrush you can bring to work, school, or while traveling around the Philippines, this design is practical and convenient. One of its strongest points is that it’s washable. You can rinse it with water to quickly remove hair oil, hair milk, or product buildup. This makes regular cleaning simple and helps keep the brush hygienic over time.In terms of smoothness, the results were decent. After three strokes on shampooed hair, smoothness improved by 79.85% based on instrument testing. The brush improved comb-through noticeably, though it did not completely remove tangles at the ends. For mildly tangled or normal hair, it performs well enough for daily use.The shine-enhancing effect was also moderate. Gloss measurements showed an average increase of 14.56% after brushing. While it may not dramatically transform dull hair, it does help improve the overall look, especially when used on already well-conditioned hair.Ease of brushing was average to good. The pins vary in length, allowing them to reach the scalp comfortably. However, because of its handle-free design, some testers found it slightly difficult to grip. Others appreciated the compact shape. Comfort may depend on your personal preference.Overall, the ReFa Heart Brush is best suited for those who want a stylish, portable, and easy-to-clean hairbrush with decent smoothness and shine improvement. If you’re looking for a convenient daily brush rather than an intensive detangling tool, this could be a good fit for your needs in the Philippines.

Deep Moist Shampoo 1.0

&honey Deep Moist Shampoo is a good choice for people who don’t want to spend too much time shampooing. In actual use, most testers were able to create lather quickly. While some of the compared shampoos were difficult to foam up with a small amount, this one made it easy to produce plenty of bubbles, helping cut down wash time. The rich, fluffy lather made it easy to wash while cushioning the hair, which may appeal to those concerned about friction damage. Its cleansing performance also earned high marks. We used lard to simulate the scalp's sebum, and when mixed with, it removed 188.03 mg of the lard. This exceeds 180 mg, which is considered a benchmark for the amount of oil produced by oily skin, and is in line with many of the shampoos we tested. &honey's shampoo should help remove excess sebum, styling products, and other buildup, and may reduce greasiness on the scalp and hair. The floral scent was rated positively by our testers, with comments such as “smells very nice” and “great for everyday use.” While some of the compared products had fresher, more refreshing scents, this one suits people who prefer a sweet, elegant floral fragrance. More than half of the testers said post-wash squeakiness was “not noticeable,” and none reported the dryness mentioned in some online reviews.Another strong point is its ingredient lineup. After reviewing the ingredient list, we found that it contains a good range of repair ingredients. Both keratin-based and non-keratin protein components are included, which can help support the repair of damaged hair. This makes it a reassuring option for those focused on caring for hair damage. That said, it contains lauramidopropyl betaine as a cleansing agent and menthol as a cooling ingredient, both of which may cause irritation for people with sensitive skin. If you have a sensitive scalp and want something especially gentle, you may want to consider other options.Recommended For:People who want to wash hair and scalp gently with rich, fluffy latherThose who want to thoroughly remove excess sebum and styling product buildupAnyone who likes sweet, floral scentsNot Recommended For:People with sensitive skin

Premium Ex Repair Mask

The TSUBAKI Premium Ex Repair Mask is a good option for those looking for a quick, easy hair treatment. Among the products we tested, it was one of the few that required zero waiting time. After reviewing the formula, we found amino acid–based conditioning ingredients that help improve hair texture and smoothness. When tested on bleached hair samples, our testers rated the overall manageability as decent. Contrary to some online reviews, most of our testers were satisfied with the moisture level. Because it has a rich, oily feel, it may suit those with thick hair or high hair density. That said, it doesn’t overly weigh hair down, so even those with fine hair may still find it manageable. However, when it came to smoothness, reviewers noted some slight drag while combing. Instrument testing also showed a higher friction coefficient than the average of other products we compared. This means it only mildly improves the hair's smoothness compared to other products on the market.Overall, compared with top-performing hair masks that left hair smooth and beautifully controlled all the way to the ends, this product showed average ability to treat dry hair. It appears to work best for hair that is not severely damaged. If your hair is heavily damaged or extremely dry, you may want to consider combining this product with other treatments or using other hair masks available in the Philippines that offer deeper repair and smoother results.

Eleos Aromatique Hand Cream

Aesop Eleos Aromatique Hand Balm is a solid choice for those who want a refreshing herbal scent without a heavy or greasy finish. While some fragrance-free hand creams we tested felt plain, this one stood out. Testers said the scent “lifts the mood,” making it enjoyable to use. Anyone who likes plant-based scents with a subtle spicy note may find it refreshing. The tube packaging is also easy to handle. Despite its aluminum look, the tube is soft and squeezes smoothly. Unlike runny creams that make dosing difficult, this one dispenses a controlled amount each time. The cap is small and takes a bit of effort to open, but it closes securely, so leakage in a bag is unlikely. In terms of texture, it leaves very little oily residue after application. Compared with many hand creams, it feels noticeably less sticky on the skin. While it may not be the lightest option available, most users are unlikely to find the finish uncomfortable. This matches online reviews that say it “doesn’t feel too sticky.”Moisturizing performance, however, is more moderate. Skin moisture increased by an average of 57.68 percent two hours after application. Some competing hand creams exceeded 100 percent, which affected its overall score. It can work well for normal skin, but those with very dry hands may find it lacking. The claim of “high moisturizing power” may feel overstated for dry skin types. With its clean, gender-neutral scent and stylish packaging, this hand balm suits users who want light daily care and a refined fragrance. If intense moisture or sweet scents are a priority, other options may be a better fit.Recommended For:Those who value minimalist, stylish packagingAnyone looking for a gender-neutral hand cream scentNot Recommended For:People with severe hand drynessUsers who prioritize quick, fuss-free applicationThose who prefer sweet, classic hand cream fragrances

Light Reflecting Foundation

ProsLong-lasting finish that stays fresh for hoursMaintains a hydrated, radiant look even after extended wearLightweight formula that creates a natural, skin-like finishSmooth, fluid texture that blends easily across the skinAlmost fragrance-free, making it suitable for those sensitive to scentWide shade range with 15 colors and detailed undertonesPotential ConsCoverage is lighter compared with some competing foundationsPump bottle can feel stiff and may take time to get used toNARS Light Reflecting Foundation is a strong choice for days when you may not have time to touch up your makeup. When our testers checked their skin eight hours after application, many commented that their skin still looked hydrated and the foundation had stayed in place well. Compared with other radiant-finish foundations we tested, which often allowed oil to surface more easily, NARS Light Reflecting Foundation maintained a clean and polished look for longer. The finish was also impressive. Because the formula applies in a thin layer, it rarely looks heavy on the skin. This supports online reviews that say it creates a natural-looking, radiant complexion. Many radiant-type foundations in our comparison avoided looking overly made up, and this one was no exception. Similar to CHANEL Ultra Le Teint Fluide, it works well for people who prefer makeup that enhances the skin while still keeping a natural look.Testers also responded positively to the fresh, fluid texture. Some of the products we compared felt thicker, but this formula spread smoothly across the skin. Every tester commented that it blends easily and has good spreadability. Another advantage is that it is almost fragrance-free during use, making it less likely to bother people who are sensitive to scent. However, the packaging received mixed feedback. As some online reviews mention, the pump can feel stiff, so it may take some time to get used to dispensing the foundation smoothly. The shade range is another highlight. With 15 shades available, it offers more variety than many of the products we tested, more than half of which had only 10 shades or fewer. The shades are divided into detailed undertones and tones, making it easier to find a color that closely matches your skin. We used the shade "Deauville" in our testing.Coverage was the only area where the foundation was slightly less impressive. When we compared the skin before and after application, a competitor foundation reduced the appearance of pores by about 75%, while NARS Light Reflecting Foundation reduced them by around 57%. Overall, the number of noticeable pores decreased by about 33%.Because the formula focuses on a natural, skin-like finish, it does not provide very heavy coverage. It is best suited for those who prefer a light, radiant look rather than a heavy foundation. If stronger coverage is your priority, you may want to consider other foundations as well.
