What Causes Dry Lips?
It is not only Vit B2 deficiency that causes dry, cracked lips. Other more common causes of dry, cracked lips include:
- Dehydration
- Staying long in dry environments like airconditioned rooms
- Allergic reactions to lip products or lipsticks
- Allergic reaction to food
- Allergic reaction to toothpaste
To manage them, keep yourself hydrated, use humidifiers if you need to stay long in dry environments, or make sure to apply lip oils every 2 hours when in there. For allergic reactions, discontinue product use and consult a dermatologist.
When to Use Lip Oil?
Lip oils may be used any time of any day. But to get full benefits, don't forget to reapply. For me, I reapply my lip oils whenever I feel it has dried out, and after meals, of course.
