The Sony WH-CH720N is a solid choice for people who want to listen to music all day with headphones on. In our testing, it weighed just 186 g. Among the over-ear models we compared, this was one of the lightest, making it less tiring to wear for long periods. The ear pads are 1.9 cm deep, which helps reduce pressure on the ears, and the headband has a wide adjustment range of up to 61 cm, so it can comfortably fit different head sizes.Ease of use is another strong point. All basic controls are handled via physical buttons on the headphones, and you can switch between noise canceling and ambient sound mode with a single press. It supports multipoint connections, allowing you to connect to two devices simultaneously. Battery life is also impressive, with up to 50 hours of continuous playback, so frequent charging isn’t necessary. There’s also a quick-charge feature that delivers about 1 hour of use from just 3 minutes of charging.The sound quality delivers strong, clear low- to mid-range tones. While some competing models we tested made mid-range sounds harder to hear, this one maintained good presence from bass to treble. It may lack a strong sense of live, immersive sound, but overall clarity is more than adequate. You also get an equalizer and personalization features for sound customization.Noise canceling is not as powerful as top-tier models, but it effectively reduces everyday noises such as voices and bells. Claims that it “doesn’t work well” can largely be ignored. The microphone performs well, clearly picking up both male and female voices. However, background noise reduction is limited, so it’s not ideal for calls in noisy environments.Priced at around ₱5,499 to ₱7,999, it offers good value for its lightweight comfort and long battery life.
